The 2022 Grand Prix Series continues with the fourth event, the inaugural MK John Wilson Trophy, which will take place in Sheffield, England, Nov. 11-13. This competition replaces Cup of China in the Series this season.

Top names in the men′s event include Koshiro Shimada of Japan, the runner-up at 2022 Lombardia Trophy, Italy′s Daniel Grassl and Morisi Kvitelashvili of Georgia.

In the women′s competition, South Korea′s Young You, the runner-up at the 2022 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic and bronze medalist at Skate Canada, will go up against Mai Mihara of Japan, the young American Isabeau Levito, who finished second at Skate America, Anastasia Gubanova of Georgia and Poland′s Ekaterina Kurakova, the 2022 Lombardia Trophy silver medalist. This will be the first event in more than a year for America′s Bradie Tennell, who missed last season due to a foot injury.

Reigning World champions Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier headline the pairs field. Silver and bronze are up for grabs with no clear-cut favorites.

The battle for gold in the ice dance competition will likely be between Charlène Guignard and Marco Fabbri of Italy and Great Britain’s Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson, who captured silver at Skate Canada. Both teams mined gold at their first Challenger Series events in September.

There is no live coverage on the main NBC network in the United States. A recap of the highlights will air on Nov. 13 from 4-6 p.m. Check your local listings for air dates and times on the speciality channels.

Cup of Austria, the eighth of the 10 Challenger Series events, overlaps with this competition (link below).
